Southeastern Regional Director of Instructional Support – Responsible for supporting KIPP schools in the area of instruction and school inspections. Support school leaders and the schools in all areas for the purpose of increasing student achievement.

Communications & Special Event Coordinator ― Responsible for organization, communication, and delivery of state-wide Leadership Training programs, including: Performance Leadership, Balanced Scorecard, Efficient Communications, and Community Engagement to educational leaders including superintendents and principals. 

Fulton County Schools   2002 – 2003
Assistant to the Superintendent, Chief of Staff ―  Responsible for organization of all superintendent duties and responsibilities. Liaised with cabinet, board members and civic leaders and coordinated all Board meetings and agendas.
Cayman Islands Schools    1997 – 2001
Educational Consultant/Speaker ― Designed and conducted Site-Based Management and School Action Plan initiatives in government schools and private academies. Created and managed a school-wide technology program for Cayman Prep School, including  fund-raising, computer-based curriculum assessment, and equipment purchases. Worked with government schools on curriculum development and community involvement projects. 

Nicholson Elementary School, Marietta, GA     1990 – 1997
Principal ― Led the creation of a new school for 750 students. In 1994, Nicholson became the second school in Cobb County to integrate computer-based curriculum in all classrooms. Among their many achievements, students made Nicholson a premier performing arts school, with original musical performances at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. 

Brown Elementary School, Marietta, GA   1986 – 1990
Principal ― Elementary school that served as a pilot for successful Reading Recovery and RISE programs.

Nash Middle School, Marietta, GA

Assistant Principal ― 1200 students in low socio-economic, urban area.

Cobb County Schools   1982 – 1985
Community Schools Director ― Directed after-school and extra-curricular activities for 23 schools. Liaised with community, Chamber of Commerce, and area schools.

Hosted TV Show “School Talk” ― While Community Schools Director, I began producing a 30-minute weekly talk show on educational trends and issues, which aired between 1983 and 1997 on 4 Atlanta cable stations.
